Heritage Bible Chapel MissionsGoal of the International Missions ProgramThe mission of the Church is to proclaim the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ all over the world by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 10:9, Acts 1:8). God’s primary method for realizing this plan is discipleship, following Christ and teaching others to do the same (Matt 28:19-20). The goal of Heritage Bible Chapel (HBC) international missions program is to enable the members of HBC to obey these commands by supporting and partaking in the work of evangelizing and discipling people all over the world. Our goals are to pray for, be a sending and supporting support church of those who demonstrate a definite calling to the ministry of the Word. We wish to contribute in a significant way to the proclamation of the gospel, the discipleship and formation of fellowships for those who respond to the gospel message. The missions program has two overarching objectives:
PurposeHeritage Bible Chapel’s Missions program is designed to keep us diligent in the prayerful pursuit of the proclamation of new life in Christ because of His sacrifice on Calvary. This program is intended to provide consistency in the missions ministry of HBC as members terms begin and end, and as we follow the direction of the church leadership and provide news and education about our missionaries to the congregation. *Changes to the Missions Policy must be approved by the committee and the Board of Elders, the Board of Elders having final authority. |
