What to Expect:

We would love to have you join us for a Sunday service at 10:00 AM and we want you to feel welcome when you come. Our services have a definite family atmosphere – people of all ages singing and worshiping together.  Attendance in our service is usually around 250 people, so you won’t feel like everyone is watching you, but neither will you feel lost in a crowd. What you will notice is that people are friendly and caring. We enjoy each other’s company, and we enjoy all kinds of music together – from hymns to choruses, from reflective to celebrative, from country gospel to a more contemporary sound.  We have several praise teams that help lead us into worship with a variety of instruments.  Our preaching is Bible-centered and expositional, with an intentional desire to obey God’s Word and apply it to everyday life.  The service concludes around 11:30.

Where do I park?

We generally have plenty of parking and you should feel free to use the front or back parking lot.  The front parking lot is closer to the road and to our sanctuary while the back parking lot is closer to our children’s classrooms and the fellowship center.  There is plenty of handicap accessible parking just outside the main doors.

What about my kids?

At Heritage we want to partner with parents in the care and discipleship of their children.  Beginning at 10:00am we offer childcare for children birth-3 years old.  You can check out our children’s ministry page to find out about classrooms and age groups.  Children ages 4 and up worship with their families in the service during the music and announcements.  We believe this helps teach our children about worship and allows us to worship together as a church family.  Just before the message children up through 5th grade are dismissed for Junior Church and they will have engaging and age-appropriate instruction in their classes.  Parents can pick up their children immediately after the service in their classrooms using our secure pick up process.

Do I have to dress up to attend?

While some people dress up somewhat to attend church, it is certainly not our expectation that you have to be dressed up on a Sunday morning.  While some will be wearing a dress or a tie you will also see people in jeans.  The only thing we do ask is that outfits be modest and avoid offensive or abusive language.  So please come as you are to worship with us and don’t let this hold you back from coming.

Do you use a particular Bible translation?

Our pastors preach using the New American Standard Bible (1995 update) because it is easy to understand and is a very accurate translation for Bible study. Many of our church family bring other versions to church because they find that it helps them understand the Bible even better when they can compare two different translations together.

Do you embarrass visitors, like make them stand up in the service?

No we don’t. We will welcome you personally and if you are willing to stop by our Welcome Center we would love to give you a gift to express our appreciation for you visiting with us.
